RAM Electronics was founded in 1974 by Vince Jennings and Matthew Therrien, who were both Hi-Fi enthusiasts interested in loudspeaker design. From small beginnings in a garage the business rapidly grew from supplying local retailers to the whole of the UK and abroad. The company was located in The Granary, a listed building in Norwich, now empty and slightly overgrown!

 

The speakers ranged in size from small two way infinite baffle systems to a huge four way transmission line, and were characterised by a smooth response, low colouration, and extended bass perfomance.
